Chapter 1: Mixxie's Plan

The steady sound of pounding from hammers and the loud whirring of power tools could be heard as a tall, feminine figure with thick silver fur and a luxuriously busy tail confidently made their way down a lavishly decorated hallway to a room that up until two days ago had been her and her girlfriend’s office.

“I’m sure they’ve got everything under control,” The figure whispered while slowly pushing the door in front of her open, allowing a flurry of loud shouts and insults to escape into the hallway.

“No, don’t take that off, you ham-handed buffoon!” A stout pig wearing dark black overalls named Ralph shouted at his brother wearing a similar style of overalls named Lenny just as Lenny unscrewed a bracket that had been holding two large pieces of wood together, causing a loud crash to be heard, followed by a flurry of profanities. “Way to go, snout-for-brains,” The pig said while rubbing their forehead with their hands before catching a glimpse of the door to the room being opened cautiously. “No, we’re not done yet, Mixxie,” Ralph said as he began to pick up the fallen pieces of wood from the floor.

“How’s everything going in here, boys?” Mixxie asked while slowly poking her long snout through the doorway before looking at the pair of pigs in the room with her blue eyes, while she quietly contemplated if it was safe to enter the room or not.

“I said,” Ralph started to say before pausing to take a deep breath, before he continued speaking. “Overall I’d say we’re doing pretty good Mixxie,” Ralph said while gesturing around the room revealing that the once plain white walls had been painted a bright pink, the short brown carpeting had been replaced by plush white carpeting, and all of the office furniture that had once dominated the space had been disassembled and replaced by several large boxes containing furniture Mixxie had purchased especially for her girlfriend, Jaymie. “As you can see, we’ve already finished the hard part of this little project, and all that’s left is to put the new stuff together,” Ralph said while leaning against one of the boxes, while his partner was still fumbling with reassembling the bits they had accidentally taken apart.

“So, do you think you’ll still be done before tomorrow?” Mixxie asked while glancing at Lenny while he was still attempting to undo his mistake while Ralph nodded his head slowly in response to Mixxie’s question.

“It’s going to be pretty tight since our brother Porky is doing some bricklaying work for a client out of town, but I think we’ll manage,” Ralph said while kneeling down to help Lenny, who was still sitting in the middle of the room surrounded by several piles of wood.

“Great, I’ll just leave you two to it then,” Mixxie said with a forced grin as she slowly shut the door and made her way back into her bedroom to check her phone for any new messages. “Shoot, I missed Jaymie’s call,” Mixxie thought with a sigh as she quickly unlocked her phone and called Jaymie back while adjusting the shoulder strap of the simple red and black dress she had been wearing. “Hey, Luv, you called?” Mixxie asked while slowly moving into her large walk-in closet in an attempt to keep Jaymie from hearing the racket from down the hall.

“I hate my life, Mixxie,” Jaymie said with a long moan as she sat beside a tall reflective trash can, grimacing at the sight of her messy hair and fur before letting out a loud yawn as she glanced up at the large television screen that was displaying a long list of flights that had been delayed due to bad weather. “My flight’s been delayed and they still haven’t told us what the new departure time will be,” Jaymie said while burying her head into the top of her backpack. “I’m never doing an out-of-state event ever again, and I just want to come home,” Jaymie said while bitterly reflecting on the moments that had led up to her agreeing to participate in a fashion show in San Diego because her manager had told her it would open a lot of new doors for her in the fashion industry.

“That sounds awful,” Mixxie said quietly as she tried to think of something that she could say to help lift Jaymie’s spirit, but despite her best effort, she couldn’t think of anything to say.

“Yeah, but I guess it’ll be over eventually,” Jaymie said with a sigh while slowly lifting her head to check the large screen above her once more. “So, you get up to anything exciting this week, Mixxie?”

“Oh, uh, not really,” Mixxie said with a stutter that would have caused Jaymie’s bright blue eyes to narrow suspiciously. “I didn’t have any shows to prepare for this week, so I had a little bit of time to work on a personal project,” Mixxie quickly added while glancing at her bedroom door, covering the speaker of the phone with her paw.

“That sounds nice, I’m kind of jealous,” Jaymie said with a longing sigh as she imagined Mixxie lounging around their condominium without having a single care in the world. “I wish I had more time to just do nothing,” Jaymie muttered just as the sound of a bored voice called out over the flight terminal’s intercom.

“Ladies and gentlemen, we’ll now begin boarding our New York City-bound flight at this time.”

“Oh, that’s me!” Jaymie shouted while rising quickly to her feet, causing several others to glance at her from their seats causing Jaymie to deflate slightly as she meekly began making her way to the line that was forming on the other side of the room. “With any luck, I’ll be back home by tomorrow morning,” Jaymie said with a sigh of relief while panic began to creep into the back of Mixxie’s mind.

“That’s wonderful,” Mixxie said with a relieved smile. “And before I forget, I wanted to let you know that you’ll have a little bit of a surprise waiting for you when you get home,”

“Sounds great,” Jaymie said with a widening smile as she flashed her boarding pass to a nearby flight attendant before making her way to her seat. “I’m getting on the plane now, but I’ll call you when I land,” Jaymie said in a tone that made Mixxie smile after releasing a sigh of relief.

“You’d better,” Mixxie said with a laugh just before she ended the call, and tossed her phone onto the bed before exiting the room to check in once more on the progress of construction in the room that was to be Jaymie’s new nursery.

Chapter 2: First Try

The sound of Jaymie’s luggage wheels boomed as she made her way out of the elevator, glancing down at her phone in bitter disappointment to see that it was already eight in the morning. “I don’t care how much money we’ll save, I am never flying with that airline again,” Jaymie muttered to herself just before she turned into the hallway that led to her and Mixxie’s little slice of heaven, and let out a long sigh of relief.

“Home, I’ve missed you so much,” Jaymie whispered while reaching her manicured paw into the pocket of her long jacket to retrieve her keys. “I wonder if Mixxie is awake yet?” Jaymie thought to herself as she unlocked and pushed the door open, revealing a long pathway of candles and flower petals that extended from where she stood to just outside of the shared room that she and Maxxie used as their home office.

“I guess this must be part of the little surprise,” Jaymie thought with a smile as she set her luggage aside, removed her high heels, and quietly crept along the candlelit pathway until she stood just outside of their office. “Sweetie, are you in here?” Jaymie whispered as she slowly turned the doorknob before cautiously pushing the door open, revealing a candlelit room that would have made her fall to her knees in shock, but as she did, she could feel a strong, soft pair of arms wrap around her waist, snugly.

“Welcome home, Precious,” Mixxie whispered into Jaymie’s ear while kissing her softly on the cheek. “Do you like your surprise?” She asked while knuzzling her cheek against Jaymie as she quietly scanned her eyes around the room to find an absurdly large crib where her desk was once placed, a changing table in stead of Mixxie’s computer, several shelves lined with a variety of different toys that looked like they’d be write at home in a daycare, a large rocking chair, but most surprising of all were the stacks of diapers neatly placed in a row.

“Mixxie, what are you talking about?” Jaymie managed to mutter just loud enough for Mixxie to hear her through the quiet morning air. “Are you pregnant or something?” Jaymie asked while turning around to meet Mixxie’s gaze and playful grin, while searching for an answer that wasn’t there.

“Not a bad guess,” Mixxie said while gently guiding Jaymie into the room before Jaymie could try to refuse. “Would you like to take another guess or would you prefer that Mama spells it out for you?” Mixxie said with a playful wink that under normal circumstances, Jaymie would have found irresistible.

“I don’t understand,” Jaymie began to wearily say as her exhausted mind struggled to come to grips with Mixxie’s unusual advances that caused her to take one backward step after another until she felt her waist collide into something hard, forcing her onto her back while Mixxie slid suggestively onto Jaymie’s chest.

“You sound so tired, Precious,” Mixxie whispered while kissing Jaymie passionately on the lips, while allowing her body to press down firmly as to pin Jaymie to the crinkly surface of the large crib Jaymie had fallen back into by accident. “Maybe, it would be best to save play time until after you have gotten a little shuteye,”

“Yes, sleep sounds good,” Jaymie muttered wearily while Mixxie jumped from on top of Jaymie’s chest to her side.

“Well, then let’s get you into something a little more comfortable,” Mixxie whispered, gently pulling Jaymie to her feet, but to Jaymie’s surprise, she was being guided not toward the doorway leading to their bedroom but to the changing table in the corner of the room.

“Hey, what are you doing, Mixxie?” Jaymie asked as confusion washed over her until she saw Mixxie gracefully pull one of the diapers from the small shelf beneath the changing table. “What are you doing with that?” Jaymie asked futilely as Maxxie began guiding her uncoordinated movements once more.

“Jaymie, this will be easier for me to explain through demonstration,” Mixxie whispered while guiding Jaymie into a lying position on top of the soft, cushiony surface of the changing table. “Now, just rest your eyes a little, and let me help you unwind,” Mixxie said while carefully removing Jaymie’s socks from her sore, tender feet.

A mixture of the arousal and uncertainty Jaymie was feeling slowly began to subside as her eyelids started to become heavier, as Mixxie's delicate touch eased the tension in her muscles from the long sleepless hours she had spent being crammed in the sardine can of a plane she had flown home in.

“That’s right, just close those tired little eyes and let Mama take care of the rest,” Mixxie whispered while lifting Jaymie from one side to the other in an attempt to more easily remove each article of clothing that she had been wearing, while whispering sweetly in Jaymie’s ears in an attempt to help her relax.

In the back of Jaymie’s mind, she knew there was a part of her that was pleading with her to snap to her senses before anything was done that she might regret, but unfortunately, that voice was being silenced by Jaymie’s love of watching Mixxie take control of the precarious position that she found herself in.

“Help, Mama, lift your bottom up high,” Mixxie said in a maternal tone that Jaymie had not heard since she was a pup being cared for by her own mother while she was still just a little girl. “You’re doing such a great job, Precious,” Mixxie muttered while guiding Jaymie’s furry behind down onto the soft plush padding of a crinkly white diaper decorated with a colorful array of flower petals.

“They really are this soft,” Jaymie thought to herself as she enjoyed the gently cushiony sensation pushing against her backside while Mixxie quickly began applying a healthy amount of baby oil and powder to the front and back of Jaymie’s diaper area before wrapping the front of the diaper up snugly using the strong adhesive tapes on the sides of the diaper.

“There, the hardest part is all done,” Mixxie muttered while helping Jaymie into a sitting position before guiding Jaymie’s favorite black nightie over her head, followed by a long hug that Jaymie hadn’t even realized she had needed. “Welcome home, Precious,” Mixxie said while lifting Jaymie into her strong, reassuring arms.

“Hey, wait!” Jaymie began to protest as she was carried from the changing table back to the crib on the other side of the room. “You don’t really expect me to sleep in that thing, do you?” Jaymie protested just as Mixxie began to lay Jaymie onto the padded mattress of the crib, before climbing up beside her.

“I do,” Mixxie whispered as she crawled beside Jaymie and rested her head on one of the puffy pillows placed along the crib’s wooden railing. “But, I don’t expect you to do it alone,” Mixxie whispered while pulling Jaymie close to her before pulling a fluffy blanket over the top of them both.

“Well, I guess it’s fine if you’re going to do it too,” Jaymie said with a sigh while she allowed Mixxie to wrap her tightly in her arms before closing her eyes with a loud yawn, while Mixxie lay quietly beside Jaymie without closing her own eyes until she knew for certain that Jaymie had fallen asleep.

“Good night, Precious,” Mixxie whispered while discreetly lowering her paw down to Jaymie’s diapered bottom and giving it a gentle squeeze before allowing herself to drift to sleep with Jaymie still in her arms.

Chapter 3: Dress-Up Time

The rhythmic tapping of rain pattered against the windows of the newly furnished nursery while Jaymie and Mixxie cozily slept in each other's arms. The pleasant rhythm woke Jaymie, who felt an unpleasant pressure in her bladder, and she shifted on her side while Mixxie continued to sleep beside her.

“Good morning,” Jaymie whispered while stroking her paw through Mixxie's delicately maintained hair before gently scratching the soft fur behind her ears, causing Mixxie’s left leg to twitch in response to her touch. “You always were a late riser,” Jaymie thought to herself before gingerly lifting Mixxie’s arm from her waist, before attempting to roll to the side of the crib, causing an audible crinkle to call out from all around her as the plastic surface of the mattress protector crinkled loudly in Jaymie’s ears.

“I don’t believe it,” Jaymie whispered to herself before pressing down on the crinkly mattress beneath her with her paw. “Why is this so comfy?” Jaymie thought to herself, noticing that the tightness she had been feeling in her lower back before she had fallen asleep was completely gone. “Might have to get a mattress like this for our bedroom,” Jaymie considered as she began to slide closer to the edge of the bed, before Mixxie's arm wrapped around her waist once.

“Good morning, Precious,” Mixxie whispered, pulling Jaymie closer to her once more while smiling contentedly.

“Good morning, Luv,” Jaymie said, turning back to Mixxie before lightly kissing her lips. Mixxie wrapped each of her arms tightly around Jaymie, pulling her closely against her, pressing the diaper between Jaymie’s legs against her.

“It feels like you are still dry,” Mixxie said while gently pressing her paw against the front of Jaymie’s diaper before giving it a gentle squeeze, and gently brushing Jaymie’s hair away from her eyes.

“Of course I’m still dry,” Jaymie said with a mix of laughter and surprise as the increasing pressure in her bladder reminded her that she still needed to use the bathroom. “But I might not be if I don’t go soon,” Jaymie said, kissing Mixxie once more, before bursting into a fit of laughter as Mixxie began to tickle Jaymie on her stomach. “Very funny,” Jaymie shouted as she began to tickle Mixxie as well. “But I think you’ve forgotten that you’re more ticklish than I am,”

“Hey, stop it!” Mixxie said, eyes scrunched tightly shut, and she too began to laugh uncontrollably.

“You first!” Jaymie shouted back just as she began to feel herself beginning to lose the battle against her own bladder.

“Fine, you win!” Mixxie shouted while immediately pulling her hands away from Jaymie in defeat as their laughter began to subside, allowing silence to return to the space around them once more.

“I always do,” Jaymie said happily as she slipped out between Mixxie’s arms and waddled across the plush carpeting of the nursery towards their bedroom, causing her diaper to crinkle loudly with each step. “This actually is kind of cute,” Jaymie thought to herself, pulling the front of her nightie up, appreciating the colorfully drawn picture of princesses, rattles, bottles, pacifiers, and alphabet blocks that decorated the front of the diaper.

However, as Jaymie admired the playful designs of her diaper, she felt a slight breeze rush past her as Mixxie darted into the bathroom connected to their bedroom.

“Hey, Mixxie!” Jaymie shouted indignantly as the door was slammed shut before being quickly locked.

“You know darn well that I was planning to use this bathroom!” Jaymie shouted outside the bathroom door while knocking loudly with her paw.

“Looks like you don’t always win after all!” Mixxie shouted through the bathroom door, laughing loudly before adding. “Just use the other bathroom,” Mixxie said mockingly as she relieved the pressure in her own bladder with a knowing smile.

“Or you could just hurry up!” Jaymie huffed before a twinge of pain from her bladder sent her scurrying out of the bedroom in the direction of the bathroom in the hallway. “Come on, legs don’t fail me now,” Jaymie pleaded to herself as she pushed the bathroom door open and turned on the light while quickly sitting down on the plush padding of the toilet seat beneath her diapered bottom. “Made it,” Jaymie thought while sighing happily with her eyes closed for the briefest of moments. “Oh no!” Jaymie shrieked loudly as she sprang to her feet while holding her paws over her face in shame.

“What’s the matter?” Mixxie shouted as she ran down the hallway to find Jaymie standing in the middle of the bathroom, standing in a soaking wet diaper.

“I forgot to take the diaper off,” Jaymie whispered in a defeated tone, looking meekly through her paws as the colorful pictures on the front of the diaper began to subtly fade away. “I can’t believe I just wet myself like a baby,” Jaymie mumbled while Mixxie slowly entered the bathroom, pulling Jaymie into a tight embrace.

“Hey, it’s not a big deal,” Mixxie offered with a sincere smile while placing one of her paws against the warm, mushy padding of Jaymie’s diaper before giving it a squeeze. “I’m the one who made you wear the diaper, remember, so if anything, this is all my fault,” Mixxie offered while slowly guiding Jaymie out of the bathroom and down the hall back towards the nursery. “But if I’m being honest, I’m glad I did because you look even more adorable in a diaper than I thought you would,” Mixxie whispered into Jaymie’s ear, causing her to blush profusely.

“You think I look cute dressed like this?” Jaymie said with a look of surprise while Mixxie guided Jaymie toward the changing table with little to no resistance from Jaymie as she continued to blush bashfully.

“I’d hazard to say you look more than cute,” Mixxie added with a playful wink before guiding Jaymie down onto the surface of the changing table and collecting a new diaper, baby powder, and baby wipes from the shelves below.

“Oh, I didn’t realize you would like this stuff too…” Jaymie said, causing her eyes to grow large before she quickly covered her mouth with her paws, while Mixxie smiled brightly.

“To be honest, I wasn’t sure that I would, but with how stressed you’ve been these past few months, and with how much time you’ve spent traveling for your events, I thought you might enjoy a little,” Mixxie laughed playfully while removing Jaymie’s soaked diaper before wiping her thoroughly with a baby wipe. “Well, pampering,” Mixxie said, smiling cheerily as Jaymie instinctively lifted her butt from the table to allow a new diaper to be slid beneath her.

A twinge of guilt gripped Jaymie’s chest as she quickly glanced around the room that at one time had been the seldom used home office she and Mixxie shared. “A little pampering?” Jaymie asked while returning her gaze to Mixxie just as she started to tape the front of her diaper shut. “Mixxie, you’ve renovated an entire room and spent who knows how much on all of this stuff,” Jaymie said in a tone that always reminded Jaymie of her own mother.

“I guess, this might be a little much,” Mixxie said while wrapping up Jaymie’s used diaper before discarding it into a new diaper bin. “But I just wanted you to be surprised,” Mixxie whispered as tears welled up in her eyes.

“Oh, believe me, I was very surprised,” Jaymie said while quickly scurrying to her feet while giving Mixxie a hug while taking a deep breath while she was thinking about the right words to say, realizing how close she was to hurting the love of her life. “I just never imagined I’d actually be doing something I’ve spent so many hours thinking about,” Jaymie said, feeling as if a weight had been lifted from her shoulders, having expressed a feeling that she had kept secret for so long.

“You mean you’re not upset?” Mixxie said while glancing around the delicately lit space that looked like it was better suited to accommodate a newborn baby than her girlfriend.

“No,” Jaymie said with a laugh while delicately wiping the tears from Mixxie’s eyes. “No, far from it, actually,” Jaymie said while gesturing for Mixxie to sit beside her on the changing table. “It doesn’t take a genius to realize how much work it must have been to do all of this before I got back, and I can only imagine you would do that if you really cared about my well-being,” Jaymie said with a nervous laugh while Mixxie listened thoughtfully. “I guess what I’m trying to say is thank you,” Jaymie said while pulling Mixxie into an embrace of her own. “And I have to admit I’m more than a little curious to find out what else you had in mind for me today,”

“So, does that mean you want to see some of the adorable outfits I bought for you?” Mixxie asked with a hopeful look in her eyes while Jaymie quietly stared at her.

“Don’t sound too eager,” Jaymie thought to herself while another voice in the back of her mind shouted disapprovingly. “You have too many things to catch up on before your next gig to be wasting your time on this.”

“Jaymie?” Mixxie asked while gently placing her hand on Jaymie’s shoulders. “Do you want to see some of the outfits?” Mixxie asked, looking deep into Jaymie’s eyes while tilting her head slightly as she waited for Jaymie to speak.

“I was planning to spend most of today lounging around here, so I don’t see why I couldn’t at least try one or two of the outfits on,” Jaymie said with a warm smile that caused Mixxie to leap to her feet enthusiastically before running towards the large wardrobe she had filled with a variety of new outfits that she knew would make Jaymie look adorable.

“Yes, of course you need a day of rest and relaxation,” Mixxie declared as she pulled open the wardrobe, causing Jaymie’s mouth to drop open as she spotted more outfits than she could have possibly imagined. “So, let’s get you something warm and cozy to wear around here,” Mixxie said while retrieving a bright pink pair of footed pajamas before quickly closing the wardrobe as she returned to Jaymie’s side. “These’ll be perfect for today,” Mixxie declared, quickly sliding the spaghetti straps of Jaymie’s nightie off her shoulders.

“Alright,” Jaymie said with a surprised expression still printed on her face, causing Mixxie to laugh as she lowered the pajama’s zipper before presenting them to Jaymie to step into. “Once you're snug in your new jammies, I’ll work on making you something warm for breakfast,” Mixxie said, causing Jaymie’s stomach to growl loudly.

“Some hot food would be amazing,” Jaymie admitted while stepping into the brightly colored fabric, loving how soft the fabric felt against her fur as Mixxie helped guide Jaymie’s arms through their openings before zipping the entire outfit closed with a zipper Jaymie only just now realized was placed along the backside of the outfit.

“How does it feel, too tight?” Mixxie asked while checking the space between Jaymie’s legs, causing her diaper to crinkle faintly beneath the thick material of the pajamas.

“No, they’re perfect,” Jaymie admitted while taking a couple of tentative steps before turning back to Mixxie with her arms spread. “So, how do I look?” Jaymie asked while Mixxie gently reached for Jaymie’s hand before guiding her out of the room.

“Like an adorable little lady,” Mixxie said with a genuine smile that made butterflies flutter in Jaymie’s stomach as she was guided to the sofa in the living room.

Chapter 4: Diaper Day Out

Steam whispered through the air, calling Jaymie’s attention from the book she held in her paws as she lounged on the sofa, neatly tucked into place beneath a plush blanket decorated with floral pink stripes, while her head rested against a sizable memory foam pillow that had been placed in a pillow case that matched Jaymie’s blanket.

“I hope you’re hungry?” Mixxie said while carrying a sizable tray filled with freshly made pancakes, scrambled eggs, diced potatoes, and Jaymie’s favorite mug that smelled pleasantly of freshly brewed Jasmine tea.

“You even made tea?” Jaymie said while inserting the bookmark into her book before setting it down on her lap, while Mixxie placed the large tray on the coffee table in front of Jaymie, causing her to notice that there was only one plate of food on the tray. “Aren’t you going to eat something?” Jaymie asked with a hint of concern until Mixxie quietly patted the top of her stomach with her paw.

“I ate more than a few ugly pancakes while I was in the kitchen,” Mixxie said while picking up the plate from the tray, revealing a picturesque stack of pancakes that looked like they would have been more at home in a cookbook than on a plate in their living room. “I didn’t want your first home-cooked meal to be anything other than perfect,” Mixxie said while positioning the plate to be easier to hold with one paw while picking up a bright pink plastic fork with her paw.

“Well, it’s fine just as long as you ate something this morning,” Jaymie said while recalling how many of Mixxie’s breakfasts had started and ended with coffee.

“Yes, I promise I’m not skipping meals again,” Mixxie muttered under her breath before redirecting Jaymie’s attention back to the generous serving of food in before her. “Now, let’s start with a yummy bite of pancakes,” Mixxie said while beginning to cut into the stack of richly buttered pancakes topped with warm maple syrup with her fork.

“Eh, I thought you already ate?” Jaymie said with a confused expression on her face as Mixxie pierced the fluffy bits she had cut with the plastic fork in her paw.

“Oh, I did,” Mixxie said with a bright smile before directing her gaze directly into Jaymie’s eyes. “Now, open up wide for the best pancakes you’ve ever had,” Mixxie said while carefully bringing the loaded fork closer to Jaymie’s mouth until she finally opened her mouth wide, allowing Mixxie to slide the fork into Jaymie’s mouth while wearing a satisfied smile on her face.

“Holy crap,” Jaymie gasped as she savored the warmth of the pancakes while a swirl of sweet maple syrup twirled on her tongue as she chewed. “Are these seriously homemade?” Jaymie said before opening her mouth to accept a bite of potato and egg.

“Don’t be too surprised,” Mixxie said while sitting up a little taller beside Jaymie. “I told you I haven’t had much to do this week, so I practiced making a few recipes that I had my mother send me while you were gone."

“Recipes?” Jaymie asked with a shake of her head while trying not to reveal that she was as surprised as she truly was to Mixxie. “As in more than one?” Jaymie continued until another bite was placed into her mouth.

“Yes, but I don’t see why that’s so surprising,” Mixxie said with a laugh as she continued to serve several more bites to Jaymie before stopping while Jaymie pointed to her Mug sitting on the tray. “Oh,” Mixxie said while quickly setting down the plate and retrieving the mug from the tray before batting away Jaymie’s paws as she attempted to retrieve the mug from Mixxie. “No, no,” Mixxie said as if correcting a child who had spoken out of turn. “Just relax, and let me do this for you,” Mixxie whispered while Jaymie begrudgingly parted her lips, allowing the pleasantly warm fluid into her mouth. “Oh, isn’t that so yummy?” Mixxie said happily while pouring another sip of tea into Jaymie’s mouth.

“How much sugar did she put in this?” Jaymie thought to herself, trying to nod convincingly to avoid Mixxie from realizing that she didn’t find the tea nearly as palatable as the food she had been eating. “It’s lovely, but the real star of this meal is cooking,” Jaymie said while smiling contentedly as another piece of potato was placed on her tongue, while Mixxie began to collect the last bit of egg onto the fork.

“I’m glad you enjoyed it,” Mixxie said while placing the now-empty plate on the tray before picking up Jaymie’s mug of tea. “If you promise Mommy that you’ll be careful, I’ll let you finish this on your own while I run you a nice warm bath,” Mixxie said in a playful tone before giving the mug to Jaymie.

Jaymie laughed, adjusting the blanket over her lap while opening her book in her paws, before looking into Mixxie’s eyes as sweetly as she could manage. “I pwomise that I’ll be careful, Mommy,”

“Oh, how could I say no to that?” Mixxie said while rotating the mug to better allow Jaymie to take it from her paws before rising from the sofa, leaving Jaymie on her own once more, gingerly sipping her sweetened drink while trying to catch up on her reading.

“Now, this is more like it,” Jaymie sighed while extending her legs across the soft cushions of the sofa, and taking a long sip of tea, causing a faint pressure to build in her bladder. For a moment, Jaymie considered just getting up to use the restroom, but as she did, she could hear the familiar crinkling of her diaper between her legs, reminding her that it was there. “Mixxie was pretty insistent that I wear this,” Jaymie thought to herself before recalling that Mixxie had gone to run her a hot bath. “I’m going to have to get changed out of this diaper whether I use it or not,” Jaymie considered to herself while taking another sip of tea from her mug, causing the pressure she was feeling to become more pronounced. “What’s the harm in playing along a little more?” Jaymie pondered to herself as she returned to her book while taking several deep breaths until she could feel a rich warmth spreading through the soft material of her diaper as she continued to read leisurely from the book in her paws.

For the next little while, Jaymie continued to read from her book, having discarded her empty mug onto the tray beside her, allowing her to sink into the plushy cushions beneath her, fully immersed in her reading, until Mixxie quietly reentered the room with a bath towel over her shoulder.

“Well, don’t you look so cozy,” Mixxie said sweetly while gently patting Jaymie on the head and carrying the tray with the empty plate and mug into the kitchen to be washed. “Ready for bath time, Luv?” Mixxie called from the kitchen’s doorway before returning to Jaymie’s side.

“I’ve actually just got a few pages left,” Jaymie said while Mixxie quietly nodded her head in understanding before slipping her paw beneath Jaymie’s blanket. “That’s fine, but is your book also the reason your diaper is so wet?” Mixxie asked with a knowing smile while Jaymie covered her face with the pages of her book.

“Um, ah, no, I figured since I had it on, I might as well use it,” Jaymie squeaked out in a far less convincing tone than she had intended.

“Oh yes, that makes perfect sense,” Mixxie whispered while slipping beside Jaymie on the sofa before pulling the soft fabric of Jaymie’s blanket over herself as well. “This is so much nicer to do when you're here,” Mixxie whispered while gently resting her head against Jaymie’s neck and wrapping her arms snugly around Jaymie’s waist, thinking just how lonesome her week had been without Jaymie around to keep her company.

“It really is my favorite thing in the world,” Jaymie whispered while nuzzling as closely as she could to Mixxie, making the soggy padding between her thighs to squish delicately against her, causing her to let out a relaxed sigh.

Quietly, Mixxie read along with Jaymie, not understanding exactly what was happening in the story since she had no context for what was happening in the story, but despite this, she could immediately recognize why Jaymie hadn’t wanted to stop reading. “I’ve got such a smart baby on my paws, reading stories just like a grown-up,” Mixxie thought to herself with a widening smile as Jaymie began to slowly close the book while smiling contentedly as well.

“There’s nothing quite like finishing a good book,” Jaymie said, mostly to herself while Mixxie quietly listened. “On one paw, I’m happy to have completed the journey, but at the same time, I’m already clamoring to start my next journey,” Jaymie said while looking back at Mixxie, who chuckled happily, hearing that Jaymie’s most pressing concern could be solved with a trip to the bookstore.

“Well, if you are up for it, we could take a short walk to that bookstore you like,” Mixxie said, causing Jaymie to immediately nod in agreement while looking down at the colorful tome in her paws.

“I think I’d like that,” Jaymie said while slowly pulling herself to her feet with Mixxie’s patient support. “But first, a bath would be amazing,” Jaymie said while making her way through their bedroom and into the bathroom, followed closely by Mixxie.

Once in the bathroom, Mixxie expertly helped Jaymie step out of her bright pink footed pajamas, and removed her soggy diaper with ease, allowing Jaymie to slip into a warm pool of water that filled the bathtub while allowing Mixxie to help wash her hair and fur after insisting several times that it wouldn’t be a bother to help quell Jaymie’s reluctant protests.

“I bet you feel so much better now,” Mixxie proudly declared while pouring several cups of warm water over Jaymie’s fur until all of the soap had been washed away.

“You have no idea,” Jaymie agreed, allowing Mixxie to help her get to her feet before a towel was wrapped snugly over her chest and around her hair. “There just wasn’t any time to take a long bath like this with everything that was going on during my trip, and then getting stuck at the airport didn’t help much either,” Jaymie explained while Mixxie dutifully listened while offering supportive nods of her head as she dried Jaymie off before guiding her back to the nursery.

“Well, there’s no need to let any of that bother you today,” Mixxie offered while gently patting her paw on the surface of the changing table, prompting Jaymie to retake her position on the table once more.

“I mean, don’t get me wrong, it really was wonderful exposure for my career, but I don’t know,” Jaymie said with a long, dramatic sigh, placing her forearm over her eyes while Mixxie finished powdering Jaymie’s diaper area before taping her diaper snugly closed around her waist.

“Let’s sit up now, Luv,” Mixxie said while pulling Jaymie into a sitting position before returning to the wardrobe to grab something for Jaymie to wear to the bookstore. “Probably, shouldn’t do anything too adventurous quite yet,” Mixxie thought to herself while shuffling past several dresses she knew she would be able to eventually get Jaymie to try on one day, before finally deciding on a simple pink dress covered in glittery white flowers. “I think this one will be perfect for today,” Mixxie declared, turning around to reveal the dress to Jaymie, who surprisingly nodded in agreement without Mixxie needing to do any convincing or begging.

“It’s cute,” Jaymie said while hopping off the table and lifting her arms over her head.

“A cute dress for a pretty baby girl,” Mixxie said while guiding the dress downward until it was comfortably covering Jaymie’s diaper.

“To be honest, I’m surprised you bought something so mature considering what I’m wearing under here,” Jaymie said with a smile, checking to ensure her diaper was entirely covered.

“Well, maybe we’ll have you try something a little more adventurous once you’re more comfortable,” Mixxie said while placing the towels back in a tall basket with their other dirty laundry. “Now, go pick a pair of shoes you think will look cute with that, and let’s get going,” Mixxie said while collecting her purse, slipping into her sneakers, and grabbing a thin jacket from her closet before meeting Jaymie at the door. “Those look cute,” Mixxie said after spotting the white slip-on shoes Jaymie often wore when she was planning to take a walk.

“Yeah, I don’t think a pair of heels would really be too fun to walk in today,” Jaymie said while walking through the doorway while Mixxie quietly nodded in agreement before locking the door tightly behind them as they began to make their way through the hall towards the elevator while Jaymie’s diaper crinkled loudly beneath her dress causing her to pull at the hem of her dress several times.

“You are going to bring more attention onto yourself if you keep grabbing at your dress, Luv,” Mixxie said while the elevator slowly closed behind them.

“I know, but I’m just worried that someone is going to notice I’m wearing a diaper,” Jaymie said just as the doors of the elevator opened, revealing several people, causing Jaymie to quickly cover her mouth while quietly rushing past them. “Do you think they heard me?” Jaymie asked in a frantic whisper while Mixxie offered her paw for Jaymie to take as they walked down the sidewalk.

“I doubt it,” Mixxie said with a small chuckle as she glanced over at Jaymie. “Now, do you see what I mean about your worrying drawing attention to yourself?” Mixxie said with a smile, causing Jaymie to quietly nod in agreement while shuffling closer to Mixxie’s side as they walked. “Good, so just relax, and I bet no one will even notice or care that you’re wearing a diaper,” Mixxie said just as two women in business suits walked past.

“Mixxie, I thought you said to stop talking about it!” Jaymie shouted indignantly before glancing over her shoulder to find that neither woman seemed to be paying them much attention.

“Sorry, that one was my fault,” Mixxie said while rubbing the back of her head with her paw. “Promise, that won’t happen again,” She quickly added, causing Jaymie to calm down significantly.

“It’s fine,” Jaymie said with a faint smile. “I know you didn’t mean to do it,” Jaymie quickly added while allowing Mixxie to gently wrap her arm around her waist as they made the short journey from their condo to the small bookstore Jaymie and Mixxie often frequented during their days off.

Chapter 5: A Little Shy

A pleasant jingle rings out as Mixxie pulls a tall glass door open, allowing Jaymie to enter the shop before her, giving her an opportunity to discreetly check the padding of Jaymie’s diaper for any signs of an accident, much to Jaymie’s surprise.

“Do you have to do that right now?” Jaymie whispered as she attempted to bat Mixxie’s paws away from the neatly hidden diaper beneath the material of her outfit.

“Yes, that’s kind of my job at the moment,” Mixxie whispered with a bright smile before giving Jaymie’s diapered bottom a playful pat as they made their way into the store.

“Yeah, well, could you try to be a little more subtle when you do it?” Jaymie mumbled as she made her way towards the nonfiction section of the shop, slipping in between a tall bookshelf lined with colorfully illustrated covers.

“So what kind of book are you considering?” Mixxie asked innocently, attempting to divert Jaymie’s attention from the crinkly padding between her legs.

“Probably a long fantasy novel,” Jaymie said with a more relaxed smile as her eyes scanned past several books before she began to carefully read the text on the back of each one to better determine which she would like the best. “So I can spend the next week curled up under the covers reading,” Jaymie said, a glint in her eyes, as she continued shopping before turning back to Mixxie. “How about you? Are you planning to get anything?”

“No, I’m still working my way through the last book that I got, but I was a little too busy remodeling our office this week to be able to read any of it,” Mixxie said with a sigh before adding. “But that’s just the price I’ll have to pay if I want to be a good Mommy,” Mixxie said while wearing a smile that made Jaymie laugh as she continued to peruse through the selection of books until she finally found one that piqued her interest, while Mixxie quietly stared down at her phone while leaning against the tall bookshelf behind her.

“Find something?” Mixxie asked, glancing up from her phone as Jaymie began to make her way out of the aisle of bookshelves.

“Yeah, I think so,” Jaymie said while slipping into a short line that had formed in front of the single cash register near the front of the store.

“Great, let’s get it and get you back home for a nice nap,” Mixxie said with a playful smile that made it difficult for Jaymie to tell if she was being serious or not. However, before Jaymie could say anything, she was called up to the cash register by a disinterested snake of a woman who scanned and bagged her book without once looking up at her.

“Sssixteen ssseventy-five,” The woman hissed while Jaymie fumbled her paws to her shoulders, realizing that she had forgotten her purse. “Sssomething the matter, Misss?”

“Uh, I’m so sorry, but I think I forgot my purse at home,” Jaymie said, feeling embarrassed as she turned to Mixxie. “Hey, Luv, would you mind getting this for me?” Jaymie asked while Mixxe stared down at her phone for several moments with a widening smile that made Jaymie sigh. “Mommy, could you pwease buy this book for me? I forgot my monies at home, and I really want this story book,” Jaymie reluctantly said, causing Mixxie to immediately meet Jaymie’s stare with a knowing smile.

“Of course I can, precious,” Mixxie said happily while gently pinching Jaymie’s cheek with her paw before turning to the cashier. “And just how much is my little one’s book, Miss?” Mixxie asked loudly enough to cause several shoppers to glance over their shoulders at Jaymie as she silently wished that she were invisible.

“Sssixteen ssseventy-five,” The woman hissed once more while stifling a small giggle with the end of her tail, while discreetly glancing at Jaymie to find that her gaze was directed to the floor’s tiling.

“Here you are, Ma’am,” Mixxie said while pawing her debit card to the cashier before receiving the card and a small paper bag containing Jaymie’s new book. “And here you are, Sweetie,” Mixxie said with a bright, toothy grin as she pawed Jaymie the bag with her book before gently kissing her on the forehead.

“Yeah, thanks, can we go now?” Jaymie said while glancing around the shop to find an amused elderly couple waiting in line behind them.

“Ah ah ah,” Mixxie said to Jaymie as she grabbed Jaymie’s paw to keep her from walking away. “Do you have something to say to Mommy for buying your new book?”

“Seriously?” Jaymie mumbled under her breath as she turned to find Mixxie standing with an expectant smile printed on her face. “Thank you so much for buying my book, Mommy,” Jaymie said as sweetly as possible, hoping it would cause Mixxie to feel even the slightest bit of the embarrassment she felt now.

“Oh, of course we can, but don’t forget to hold Mommy’s paw,” Mixxie said with a sweet grin as she gently took Jaymie’s paw into her own before guiding the pair back outside.

“Laying it on a little thick, don’t ya think?” Jaymie whispered into Mixxie’s ear as they began making their way back home.

“What do you mean?” Mixxie said innocently, causing Jaymie to sigh loudly while the bag swayed with each of her movements.

“I mean, acting all lovey dovey in there, and kissing my on the forehead like a child in front of all of those people,” Jaymie said pointedly in an attempt to get her point across to Mixxie, who contentedly glanced in her direction as she listened.

“First, we kiss in public all the time, so that shouldn’t feel all that unusual for you,” Mixxie said with a playful smile before lightly kissing Jaymie on the cheek. “Second, how could I not be lovey dovey when I’m spending my day with such a lovely, sweet, and intelligent little lady such as yourself,” Mixxie said with each word causing Jaymie’s mood to brighten.

“Hey, no fair, I’m trying to be mad at you right now,” Jaymie said with a laugh while resting her head against Mixxie’s shoulder, causing Mixxie to laugh as she pointed at a food truck parked along the street.

“Feel like a little snack or drink?” Mixxie asked as she guided the pair towards the brightly painted truck being manned by a stern-faced, broad-shouldered bull wearing a white apron and a small paper hat between his horns.

“A drink would be nice, but remember I don’t have any cash on me,” Jaymie muttered while Mixxie quietly nodded in response.

“Sure, not a problem,” Mixxie whispered as they each stepped into line while glancing up at the tall menu leaning against the side of the truck.

“Oh, a sweet tea would be amazing,” Jaymie said as she stepped forward alongside Mixxie to order.

“No, you shouldn’t have any more sugar before nap time,” Mixxie said while examining the menu intently, while the bull in front of them began to smile for the first time since they arrived.

“Hey, I thought we agreed,” Jaymie began to say before Mixxie silenced Jaymie with her paw.

“I’ll have a black coffee with cream and sugar,” Mixxie said while studying the board intently. “And a warm cup of chocolate milk for the little one,” Mixxie said, causing a low, gravely chuckle to escape the bull’s mouth as he began to prepare their order.

“Mixxie,” Jaymie murmured while hastily glancing around to see if anyone else had heard what Mixxie had said.

“Here’s your coffee, Ma’am,” The bull said while sliding a large cup into Mixxie’s paw before glancing down at Jaymie before placing an identical paper hat that matched his on top of her head. “And one rich and creamy cup of warm chocolate milk for the little one,” The man said while giving Jaymie a plastic cup decorated with colorful pictures of farmers and farming equipment that, to Jaymie’s surprise, had a large curly straw sticking out the top of the cup’s tightly closed plastic lid.

“Oh, that’s such a cute little cap,” Mixxie declared while holding her phone up to take a picture of Jaymie as she took her cup of warm milk into each of her paws. “What do you say, Sweetie?” Mixxie said while Jaymie quietly fumed beneath her new cap.

“Thank you, Sir,” Jaymie said with a forced grin before she quickly scampered out of view, followed quickly by Mixxie. “You know I think I’ve had just about as much excitement as I can take for now,” Jaymie said with a long sigh before taking a small sip from her drink. “Wow, this tastes amazing!” Jaymie exclaimed before taking a much longer drink through the long curly straw in her cup.

“Almost, like someone knew you’d love it,” Mixxie said coyly while taking a sip of her own drink before gently wrapping her arm around Jaymie’s waist and pulling her closer as they walked.

“Or they just got lucky,” Jaymie retorted with a half smile as she took another sip, with her paws placed snuggly around her cup.

The rest of the way home, Jaymie allowed herself a few quiet moments to enjoy the gentle breeze, the warmth of the sun on her fur, and, to her surprise, even the sound of her own diaper rhythmically between her legs didn’t sound at all unpleasant to her ears.

“Hey, I’ve got an idea,” Mixxie said to Jaymie as they waited for the elevator up to their condo. “Why don’t I read some of your book to you before nap time while you finish your milk?”

“You mean you want to have story time?” Jaymie asked with a slight smile as she imagined herself lying down, drifting to sleep while listening to a good book.

“Yeah, kind of like that, unless you’d rather just read on your own later,” Mixxie added with a shrug of her shoulder as they made their way onto the elevator.

“Sure, I don’t see why not,” Jaymie said while taking another sip of her milk before stepping off the elevator and making their way down the hallway back to the safety of their home.

“Great, then let’s get you into something a little more cozy,” Mixxie exclaimed while opening the door and leading Jaymie back to the changing table in the nursery.

“Hey, I don’t need a diaper change since I haven’t used this one,” Jaymie protested while Mixxie reflexively began removing Jaymie’s diaper.

“It’s true you were a big girl by not using your diaper, but with how much walking we did, it’ll be better if we change you into a fresh new diaper before you lie down. Unless you’d rather risk getting a diaper rash,” Mixxie said while Jaymie nodded her head in agreement.

“I suppose you’re right,” Jaymie said with a small sigh as a small yawn escaped past her lips.

“Sounds like someone is just about ready to get a little shuteye,” Mixxie whispered as she began wiping Jaymie with a baby wipe before slipping a new diaper beneath her bottom.

For a moment, Jaymie considered protesting, but as she rested her head against the soft padding of the changing table, she knew that Mixxie was right. “A nap is all I could think about these past few days,” Jaymie thought to herself as a Mixxie began to delicately sprinkle fresh baby powder before wrapping the front of Jaymie’s diaper snuggly around her waist.

“I’ll take that as a yes,” Mixxie whispered as she silently slipped away from the changing table before opening Jaymie’s wardrobe and discreetly pulling out an outfit that she carried back to the changing table without showing Jaymie. “Alright, let’s stand up to make this next part a little easier,” Mixxie whispered while giving the bottom of Jaymie’s diaper a couple of playful pats with her paw before helping pull Jaymie’s dress off over her head.

“That’s a pretty outfit,” Jaymie said as she caught a glimpse of the outfit Mixxie had picked out for her.

“I know it’s perfect for a cutie like you,” Mixxie said while revealing a lavender colored onesie in her paws before unsnapping several buttons along the bottom of the onesie and slipping it over Jaymie’s head. “It might feel a little tight, but that’s how it’s supposed to feel,” Mixxie muttered as she slipped Jaymie’s arms through each of the armhole openings before finally stretching the bottom of the onesie around Jamie’s diaper, followed by several snaps as the onesie was closed tight. “There, how does it feel?” Mixxie asked Jaymie while she gently pressed against the obvious bulge of her diaper’s padding between her legs.

“Doesn’t really leave much to the imagination,” Jaymie said while Mixxie quietly tossed Jaymie’s old diaper into the bin, tossed Jaymie’s dress into a nearby clothes hamper, and put everything she had gotten out away. “But I kind of like it,” Jaymie said with a more relaxed smile before she was guided over to the crib on the other side of the room.

“Glad to hear it, Sweetie,” Mixxie said while helping Jaymie up onto the mattress of her crib before turning to leave the room. “I’ll be right back after I slip into something a bit more comfy myself,” Mixxie said while quickly leaving the room and shutting the door behind her.

“What a weird day,” Jaymie thought to herself as she placed her paws behind the back of her head while she looked at a small, colorful mobile that was placed over her head. “The only thing missing at this point is a bottle filled with milk,” Jaymie considered quietly for several moments until she heard the door to the nursery open once more.

“Alright, who's ready for a story?” Mixxie said as she entered the room wearing a bright pink nightie while carrying the book they had purchased this afternoon, along with a baby bottle that looked to be filled with the rest of Jaymie’s chocolate milk.

“I am,” Jaymie murmured from her spot in the crib before Mixxie nonchalantly gave her the bottle as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

“Here, I thought you’d have a little easier time drinking your yummy milkies if you were using this,” Mixxie said while slipping into the crib beside Jaymie.

“Yeah, that makes sense,” Jaymie said without resisting or complaining, knowing that Mixxie was right. “So, are you going to start reading now?” Jaymie asked eagerly while she silently considered the adventure that awaited her behind the book’s expressive cover.

“In due time,” Mixxie muttered as she pulled a nearby blanket over top of Jaymie and proceeded to tuck her in before guiding the nipple of her bottle into her mouth. “There, now we’re ready to get started,” Mixxie whispered softly while Jaymie began to suckle a stream of warm milk through the nipple in her mouth. “Now, let’s see,” Mixxie muttered as she began to open the cover of the book, found the start of the first chapter, and began to read the opening lines of the story using her most delicate and soft spoken voice without noticing that Jaymie’s eyelids were already starting to slowly slide closed before falling to sleep with the nipple of her bottle still in her mouth.

Chapter 6: First Accident

Jaymie’s nose twitches as a saucy aroma tantalizingly lingers along the openings in her nose as if they were beckoning her to awaken from her restful slumber in pursuit of their source as her eyes slowly slid open as she slowly became aware of the room’s lightly colored walls, the soft padding hugging against her waist, but to her surprise as she slowly grew more aware of her surroundings she realized there was something soft and squishy filling her mouth that until that moment had been bobbing around lazily in her mouth.

“What’s this?” Jaymie mumbled as she slowly raised her paw to remove the foreign object from her mouth with a quizzical stare as she held it up above her face, causing a small drop of saliva to fall onto her chin. “A pacifier?” Jaymie murmured beneath her breath as she stared at the pink and white plastic of the pacifier, focusing intently on a small, colorfully drawn picture of a baby fox’s face suckling happily on a pacifier while their eyes rested contentedly. “Another part of the surprise, I suppose,” Jaymie whispered as she set the infantile object down beside her before spotting a tall baby bottle filled with milk nestled beside the wooden bars of her crib.

Jaymie’s cheeks blushed as she first glanced at the nursery door for any signs that Mixxie was coming back to check on her. “I am feeling a little thirsty,” Jaymie thought to herself as she took the bottle, realizing the milk must had just come out of the fridge since the plastic of the bottle was still cold against her paw as she picked. “I wonder how long Mixxie has been planning all of this,” Jaymie wondered as she listened to the pleasant sloshing sound of the milk as she turned the bottle in her paw before gently inserting the nipple between her lips. “When I first met her, she could barely balance her checking account, and now she's budgeting for new home renovations without ever having to mention it to me,” Jaymie thought as a small hint of pride brought a smile to her face.

“I always knew she was more than just a pretty face,” Jaymie thought as she continued to suckle from the nipple of her bottle until she could feel an all too familiar pressure building in her bladder that wished to force her from beneath the warmth of her blanket. “Always when I’m trying to relax,” Jaymie thought to herself as she instinctively began to shuflle her legs to get out of bed when she heard a subtle crinkling coming from between her thighs. “Maybe, I don’t have to get up quite yet,” Jaymie thought to herself as she slowly closed her eyes while focusing intently on the pressure in her bladder while imaging she was in the bathroom to relieve herself until she began to feel the pressure move until a faint hissing sound filled the air filling Jaymie’s diaper with a pleasant warmth that trickled down the back of her diaper until it settled contently just beneath her waist. “That’s much better,” Jaymie mumbled around the nipple in her mouth as she slowly placed one of her paws along the backside of her diaper before pressing it lightly against her, causing it faint squishing sound to sing out along with the diaper’s crinkly plastic. “So, soft,” Jaymie whispered before she resumed suckling from her bottle until it was completely empty, and began to slide out of her crib with a modest waddle as she made her way out of the nursery to find Mixxie.

“Mixxie,” Jaymie said as she poked her head out of the nursery to find that the wonderful aroma that had woken her from her nap seemed to grow more enticing with every step she made towards the kitchen. “Mixxie,” Jaymie said while poking her head into the kitchen to find Mixxie placing a cooking tray into the oven before finally glancing back at her.

“Well, there’s my little one,” Mixxie said while removing a set of cooking mitts from her paws and approaching Jaymie with her arms spread wide, revealing the soft, frilly material of an apron. “How was your nap, sweetie?” Mixxie asked while gently pulling the bottle from Jaymie’s paw before giving her a hug.

“It was nice,” Jaymie said with a warm smile before glancing towards the busy stove and countertop.

“What are you making?” Jaymie asked while sniffing the air, causing her stomach to rumble.

“You’ll have to wait and see,” Mixxie said with a warm smile before gently turning Jaymie back in the direction of the living room. “Now, why don’t you read your book or watch a little TV while Mommy finishes making dinner?”

“Alright, I guess I can do that,” Jaymie said with a quick glance over her shoulder for a moment before going to the living room.

“Shout for Mommy if you need anything,” Mixxie said to Jaymie just before she hopped onto the sofa in the living room.

“Alright,” Jaymie muttered while picking up the remote control to the TV, and turned it on, finding that it had been turned to the weather channel. “Whoa, looks like we might finally get some snow,” Jaymie said with a small smile before quickly changing the channel for several minutes until she found herself stopping on a channel playing a movie from her childhood with talking household appliances. “Oh my gosh!” Jaymie exclaimed while nabbing her blanket from the back of the sofa before throwing it over herself, and lying back against the sofa’s cushions with a content smile.

For the next hour, Jaymie quietly watched the movie while tightly wrapping herself in her blanket without a care in the world until her stomach began to rumble loudly, pulling her attention from the climactic scene playing on the screen. However, rather than call Mixxie to let her know that she needed to use the bathroom, Jaymie ignored the pleas from her stomach  to relieve herself until her movie was over.

“Jaymie, dinner is ready,” Mixxie called from the kitchen before into the living room a few moments later to bring Jaymie to the kitchen table. “Looks like someone is going to need a change after dinner,” Mixxie said while giving the back of Jaymie’s diaper a couple of playful pats before pulling out her chair for her to sit in.

“Yeah, I guess,” Jaymie muttered before spotting a large plate of spaghetti, two freshly baked breadsticks, and another baby bottle filled to the top with ice-cold milk. “Mixxie, this looks amazing!” Jaymie exclaimed while looking to either side of her plate to see that Mixxie had forgotten to leave her any silverware to eat with. However, just as Jaymie prepared to ask, she noticed that Mixxie set a plate down in front of herself while holding a single fork in her paw.

“I hope you enjoy it, sweetie,” Mixxie said while sticking her fork into that pasta on Jaymie’s plate before presenting Jaymie with a sizable bite of richly colored pasta. “Open for some nummy pasta,” Mixxie said, prompting Jaymie to open her mouth.

“Yummy!” Jaymie exclaimed enthusiastically as Mixxie took a bite of her own spaghetti, twirling another bite of noodles onto the fork for Jaymie. “Are these homemade?” Jaymie asked as she picked up a breadstick from her plate and took a bite while Mixxie nodded proudly.

“That’s right, everything here is homemade,” Mixxie said with a satisfied smile as she took a bite from her own breadstick while giving Jaymie another bite of pasta.

“I could eat like this every night,” Jaymie declared, and Mixxie nodded enthusiastically in agreement as they each continued to eat until only a few strands of pasta were left on their plates. “Wow, that was delicious,” Jaymie said, grabbing her bottle of milk and suckling on it for several moments to wash down her meal before an audible burp escaped from her mouth.

“Excuse you, little one,” Mixxie said with a playful laugh as she gently began to pat Jaymie on the back, causing another burp to sneak out of her mouth before she could cover her mouth. “I guess that means you liked Mommy’s cooking,” Mixxie said while slowly rising to her feet and collecting their dirty dishes.

“I really did,” Jaymie said while Mixxie bent down to kiss Jaymie on the forehead as she resumed suckling milk from her bottle.

“That’s wonderful, sweetie,” Mixxie said with a bright smile as she turned to begin cleaning up the kitchen and washing their dirty plates and silverware. “Why don’t you go watch a little more TV, and after Mommy is done cleaning up, we can watch a movie together under a snugly warm blanket?”

“I’d love that,” Jaymie exclaimed as she made her way back to the living room and hid from the cool evening air beneath her blanket while peering at the TV to find an episode of a children’s cartoon with a trio of talking cats running around at a playground. “This is kind of cute,” Jaymie thought to herself from within her blanket cocoon as she continued to watch the show until her stomach began to moan loudly, followed by an intense pressure building deep within her. “I have to go,” Jaymie thought to herself as she quickly got to her feet and prepared to run to the bathroom. However, before she was able to take even a single step, she could feel Mixxie’s paw playfully pulling her back to the plush cushions of the sofa before tossing a blanket over the two of them. “Mixxie, wait, I have to go to the bathroom,” Jaymie said while trying to pull herself back to her feet.

“So, go,” Mixxie said while casually patting the back of Jaymie’s diaper before wrapping her arms over Jaymie’s chest while giving her a warm embrace from behind. “You’ve already wet your diaper once, so is it really that big of a deal to wet it again?” Mixxie asked while while Jaymie looked back into her eyes.

“But I don’t have to pee,” Jaymie said with pleading eyes as Mixxie released her arms, allowing Jaymie to climb back to her feet. “Better hurry then,” Mixxie said with a quick nod while Jaymie began to slowly waddle her way to the bathroom. “Almost there,” Jaymie muttered to herself as she could feel her body’s attempt to hold back the inevitable begin to fade. “No, I can make it,” Jaymie said through gritted teeth when an ominous wail from Jaymie’s stomach nearly caused Jaymie to fall to her knees as her stomach began to violently cramp. “No,” Jaymie moaned as tears welled up in her eyes, and an eruption of hot stool poured into the back of her diaper just as she flicked the light to the bathroom on with her paw. “No,” Jaymie murmured under her breath as she caught a glimpse of the large mound that was forming in the back of her diaper. “Oh no,” Jaymie gasped as her throat tightened, and tears began to flow down her cheeks while she slowly turned to make her way back to the living room. “Hey Mixxie,” Jaymie whispered in a hushed tone as she reluctantly made her way back to the living room one step at a time. “Do you think you could change my diaper now?” Jaymie asked, fixing her gaze to the floor beneath her feet before slowly looking up to find Mixxie looking down at her with a softness in her eyes that Jaymie had only ever seen in her mother’s gaze.

"Of course we can, little one," Mixxie said, barely louder than a whisper, as she gently took Jaymie's paw into her own and guided her down the hallway, humming a sweet melody that, for a moment, made Jaymie feel as if she were being led to her room by her own mother.

Chapter 7: Movie Night

The weight of Jaymie’s humiliation weighed heavily in the back of her diaper as she cautiously raised herself atop her changing table while Mixxie routinely busied herself with gathering the supplies that she would need from the table’s lower shelves before helping Jaymie lie back against the welcoming padding of the table’s padding.

“This feels so gross,” Jaymie whined weakly as the contents of her diaper were inadvertently mushed beneath Jaymie’s weight after Mixxie adjusted Jaymie’s position on the table.

“Well, if it feels as bad as it smells, we’ll want to do this quickly,” Mixxie said while pulling the front of Jaymie’s diaper open before quickly placing her paw over her nose. “Seriously, Luv, what were you eating while you were away?” Mixxie asked while directing her gaze to Jaymie, who directed her eyes anywhere that would help her avoid Mixxie’s stern gaze.

“I, uh, kind of just had whatever was available,” Jaymie said as she thought about all of the questionable dishes she had been required to consume for the past two weeks in an attempt to stay on schedule.

“Not a lot of greens or fiber by the looks of it,” Mixxie muttered while wiping away the lumpy and hard pieces of stool off of Jaymie’s fur before finally dropping the used wipe into Jaime’s soiled diaper, and tossing it into the diaper bin with a satisfied sigh. “Now, doesn’t that feel so much better?” Mixxie said to Jaymie while giving the bottom of her paws a gentle tickle, causing Jaymie to laugh playfully.

“So much better,” Jaymie sighed as a new diaper was slid beneath her bottom before Mixxie began to powder and oil her diaper area. “Thanks, Mixxie,” Jaymie said with a soft smile that Mixxie happily returned as she taped the front of Jaymie’s diaper shut once more.

“It was my pleasure, little one,” Mixxie said while readjusting the snaps along the bottom of Jaymie’s onesie until each one had been firmly locked into place. “Now, go get comfy on the sofa, and find a nice movie for us to watch while I make us some yummy popcorn,” Mixxie said while giving Jaymie a soft kiss on top of her head that made Jaymie feel significantly smaller than she had ever felt in her life.

“Sure, I’ll find something good,” Jaymie said while leading the way out of the nursery with a modest waddle that made Mixxie chuckle slightly to herself before heading into the kitchen. “I guess this really isn’t much different than how we would be spending any other night,” Jaymie thought to herself as she turned on the television with the remote control and pressed the large red Netflix button at the bottom of the remote. “But what should we watch?” Jaymie thought to herself as she began searching through the movies until she landed on a newly listed section filled with many of the same Christmas movies that she would watch with her family before she had moved out on her own.

“Oh, I love that one,” Mixxie muttered while walking back into the living room carrying a large circular tray topped with a large bowl of popcorn, a glass of water, and two baby bottles that were filled to the top with what Jaymie assumed was water and some kind of juice.

“This one?” Jaymie asked while moving the onscreen cursor over an animated movie called “Santa's Woodland Journey,”

“I probably saw it a hundred times as a pup,” Mixxie murmured as she took a seat beside Jaymie on the sofa before placing a large buttery bowl of popcorn on her lap and bringing the bottle filled with water to Jaymie’s mouth. “I noticed you hadn’t had much water today, so please drink this first,” Mixxie said before taking a sip from her own cup of water.

For the briefest of moments, Jaymie thought about insisting she be allowed to drink something else, but as she watched Mixxie drink from her cup, she knew that she was right. “Fine,” Jaymie muttered with a small huff as she opened her mouth and began to suckle from her bottle while the movie started.

“Such a good girl,” Mixxie muttered with a satisfied smile as she set her cup down on the table in front of her, pulled a blanket over her and Jaymie’s shoulders, and placed a few pieces of popcorn into her mouth.

While the movie played, Jaymie found herself captivated by the warm and vibrant aesthetics of the woodland setting the movie took place in, and for the briefest of moments, she wondered how nice it would be to be able to get away from the droning noise and distractions she and Mixxie dealt with each and every day.

“If only we lived someplace like that,” Jaymie muttered loudly enough for Mixxie’s gaze to be directed from the screen in front of them just as Jaymie began to gently rest her head on Mixxie’s shoulder. “Even if it was just for a few days,” Jaymie whispered while slowly placing some popcorn in her mouth.

“What if we did?” Mixxie quietly thought to herself while wrapping an arm gently around Jaymie’s waist and pulling her close before placing Jaymie’s empty bottle on the tray in front of them. “Here, now drink this,” Mixxie whispered while picking up a bottle filled with a darkly colored liquid that Jaymie found questionable as she gazed at it through the dim light of the television’s screen.

“What is it?” Jaymie asked hesitantly before slowly opening her mouth while Mixxie slowly slid the nipple of the bottle past her lips.

“Something sweet and yummy to help your tummy,” Mixxie said while turning slightly to allow Jaymie’s head to rest against her chest, while also bringing her legs onto the sofa beside Jaymie’s legs.

“Something sweet?” Jaymie thought curiously as she began to suckle from the nipple, causing a cool, sweet stream of prune juice to coat her tongue. “Yummy,” Jaymie murmured around the nipple in her mouth as she began to contentedly drink from the bottle while she and Mixxie redirected their attention back to the movie.

“Be sure to drink every drop,” Mixxie whispered while gently shifting her leg beside Jaymie, causing Jaymie’s diaper to crinkle loudly, bringing a smile to Mixxie’s face as her own eyelids slowly began to grow heavy as dreams of spending Christmas with her new baby began to fill her mind. “I just know we’d have the best time,” Mixxie whispered as her breathing began to slow, and the warmth of Jaymie’s fur enveloped her like a warm quilt that pulled her into a deep sleep.

“Hey,” Jaymie muttered as she felt her bottle slowly being pulled from her mouth as Mixxie’s head began to rest against the back of the sofa. “She fell asleep?” Jaymie thought to herself as she quietly picked the bottle up from the floor and placed it back in her mouth with a smile. “You never were much of a night owl,” Jaymie chuckled while shifting herself slightly to allow Mixxie’s head to rest more comfortably against her while she quietly continued to suckle the last of the juice from her bottle while a merry jingle played on the screen, and a colorful cast of characters danced around around a roaring fireplace while waiting for Santa Clause’s arrival.

Several times throughout the film, Jaymie thought about turning off the television, but each time she did, she found her eyes drifting to find Mixxie resting so peacfully that she would have felt guilty about waking Mixxie up.

“I might as well wait until the movie is over,” Jaymie thought to herself as she began snacking on the popcorn sat atop Mixxie lap until the movie’s credits began to slowly scroll up the screen alongside a merry melody that brought a smile to Jaymie’s face as she turned off the television, moved the popcorn bowl back to the tray, and cuddled as closely as she could to Mixxie before contently closing her eyes and falling asleep.

Chapter 8: Just a 'Little'

The sound of generic Christmas melodies filled the shopping mall. Jaymie and Mixxie merrily shuffled along the crowded walkway, glancing at colorfully decorated stores. They carried bags filled with last-minute gifts meant for each other. Suddenly, Mixxie stopped abruptly, and Jaymie followed, giving her a curious glance.

“What’s wrong?” Jaymie asked as she scanned the crowd, trying to spot what Mixxie was looking at. Finally, she noticed a long winding line around a tall Christmas tree. The line led up to a brightly lit sign with a colorfully drawn polar bear dressed as Santa Claus. “Free Pictures with Santa,” Jaymie whispered, glancing at Mixxie once more.

“Do you want to have one taken?” Mixxie asked while guiding Jaymie through the crowd, and around a twisting set of colorful candy canes until they arrived at the end of the line.

“Uh, well, aren’t we a bit too old for something like this?” Jaymie asked, glancing through the line to find that it was mostly populated with children and their parents anxiously waiting their turn, as colorfully dressed characters ushered the crowd ahead one at a time, periodically pointing to a sign that discouraged pushing or shoving.

“Of course I don’t,” Mixxie said with a smile while discreetly taking Jaymie’s paw into her own. “Christmas is a holiday for everyone, not just the young,” Mixxie said with a warm smile as several children quickly stepped into line behind them. “Besides, we’re kind of blocked from getting out of line now,” Mixxie said while her smile widened, and she pulled Jaymie closer to her. “Don’t you want to tell Santa what you want for Christmas this year?” Mixxie said with such overwhelming sincerity that it robbed Jaymie of any resistance or desire to vanish back into the bustling crowd of shoppers she once had.

“It’s not like,” Jaymie began to say until she noticed a small child in front of her was quietly glancing up at her. “I mean, of course I want to tell Santa what I want for Christmas because he’s really, uh, real,” Jaymie finished saying while smiling warmly to the child before they hid once more behind their parent’s legs.

“Of course Santa is real,” Mixxie whispered while gently patting Jaymie’s head with her paw. “How else would good boys and girls get so many presents each year?” Mixxie said while shuffling a few steps ahead, and humming along to the music playing nearby.

For the next little while Jaymie and Mixxie quietly waited in the line while listening to the festive music and watching the colorful displays of lights that lit up the winding pathway that led to a bright red set of stairs that became less distant with each passing moment until Jaymie began to feel a familiar pressure building in her bladder that suddenly made her aware of just how many people were surrounding her.

“Will anyone notice if I go now?” Jaymie thought to herself while glancing behind her to find that the number of people behind them had grown considerably.

“Something wrong, Luv?” Mixxie whispered into Jaymie’s ear sweetly while looking her directly in the eyes.

“No, I just need to...you know,” Jaymie whispered while glancing down as Mixxie quietly pressed her paw against the padding of Jaymie’s diaper.

“Doesn’t feel like it’ll be a problem,” Mixxie whispered while gently taking Jaymie’s paw into her own. “Besides, it isn’t like this is the first time you’ve used your protection out in public,” Mixxie whispered before she began humming along with a festively dressed group of elves that were dancing and singing alongside the line they were in.

“Yeah, but I’ve never done it with so many people watching,” Jaymie thought to herself as she closed her eyes in an attempt to relieve herself, but no matter how much she tried to relax, she couldn’t help but shake the feeling that every single person around her knew exactly what she was trying to do. “Fine, I’ll just hold it,” Jaymie huffed as she took another step forward alongside Mixxie. “Just how much longer is this going to take?” Jaymie thought to herself as she glanced desperately at colorful lights and decorations all around her in search of anything that would distract her bladder’s distress calls to use the bathroom.

“Won’t be much longer now,” Mixxie said as the bottom step of the stairs leading up suddenly became visible as the next group moved to gather around Santa to take a festive family picture.

“Good, because I don’t know how much longer I can hold it,” Jaymie murmured beneath her breath, causing Mixxie’s ear to twitch slightly.

“Did you say something, Luv?” Mixxie asked with a quizzical tilt of her head while Jaymie struggled to smile nonchalantly with a shake of her head. “If you say so, Luv,” Mixxie whispered while giving Jaymie’s diaper another gentle squeeze before letting out an annoyed sigh. “I thought you had to go?” Mixxie whispered, causing Jaymie’s smile to fade.

“I do, but I think I can hold it at this point,” Jaymie muttered dismissively just as Mixxie and she were being called up the stairs by one of Santa’s helper elves. “See, we’ll be on our way out of here in no time,” Jaymie whispered with a smile as she made her way up the steps one foot at a time until she was standing in the shadow of polar bear dressed in a red velvet suit, complete with white fur trim, shiny black boots, and a reassuring smile that perfectly complimented his warm eyes.

“No, need to be shy little ones,” The bear beckoned while extending his arms wide, and a pair of raccoons dressed in matching elf costumes quickly placed a red stocking cap on both Jaymie and Mixxie’s heads before running back behind a tall camera tripod.

“Right,” Jaymie muttered as she awkwardly stood beside the bear, and turned to face the camera before she was abruptly lifted and placed on the soft velvety surface of his lap, causing a warm sensation to spread throughout her diaper until she could feel the faintest bit of wetness trickling down her thigh. “Did I seriously just wet myself?” Jaymie thought in a panic as she struggled to recompose herself, just as Mixxie was quietly placed beside her by the same strong paws that had lifted her.

“Now, would either of you girls like to tell Santa what you would like for Christmas?” The bear said while leaning between the pair on his lap, smiling brightly. “There’s no need to be shy,” The bear said with a warm smile that Jaymie could instantly tell was genuine.

“I want a cozy cabin just like this,” Mixxie said with a bright smile that caused a round of laughter to erupt from the bear while placing his paws on Jaymie’s and Mixxie’s shoulders.

“It might be a little hard to fit in the sleigh, but Santa will see what he can do,” He laughed before glancing back to Jaymie, who was now fidgeting uncomfortably, causing the swollen padding beneath her to crinkle loudly. “And what is it you would like?”

For a moment, all eyes in the room were on Jaymie as everyone gazed at her, causing her face to become uncomfortably warm as she tried to remain as composed enough to realize that she was the only one who knew she had just wet herself. “Just stay calm, and pick anything,” Jaymie thought to herself while glancing into the soft gaze of the bear beside her. “I’d really like a new tea set,” Jaymie said with a quick smile before glancing back at the camera. “Can we take the picture now?” Jaymie asked as she tried to avoid sounding overly anxious to leave.

“Right, just look over there, and smile nice and big,” The bear said with a nod, sensing Jaymie’s unease before gesturing to the raccoons behind the camera.

“Say Merry Christmas!” The raccoons beckoned in unison as both Mixxie and Jaymie each shouted out, wearing smiles that felt far more natural than the ones they would normally use while having pictures taken of them.

“There you have it, girls, feel free to grab a candy on the way out, and Merry Christmas!” The bear jovially shouted as he lifted Mixxie and Jaymie from his lap.

“Sounds great,” Jaymie said while quickly making her way out of the room, leaving Mixxie behind to collect their shopping bags and picture from the pair of raccoons after it was printed. “I’ve got to find a bathroom,” Jaymie murmured underneath her breath, realizing that a faint wet spot had formed along the front of her skirt, but before she could sneak away to find one, she felt a familiar paw press along the padding between her legs.

“So, that’s why you left so quickly,” Mixxie murmured before quickly grabbing Jaymie’s paw and guiding her in the direction of the bathroom. “We’ll definitely want to change that before trying to catch a bus back home, otherwise you might end up with an uncomfortable rash,” Mixxie said far more loudly than Jaymie would have liked as they passed several groups of shoppers.

“I know you’re right as usual, but do you really have to be so loud about it?” Jaymie huffed as she waddled one step at a time beside Mixxie until they arrived at a single-occupancy bathroom.

“I’ll try to be a little more discreet, baby girl,” Mixxie whispered as she slid the door open for Jaymie to quickly make her way inside a surprisingly spacious bathroom. “Now, hop your soggy tushy up here, and let Mommy take it from here,” Mixxie said while retrieving the clean diaper and baby wipes she had stashed in her purse before they had left home. “Now, say goodbye to Mr. Soggy Diapee,” Mixxie said while Jaymie slowly lay down across the long plastic changing table mounted to the wall.

“Not quite as comfortable as the one we have at home,” Jaymie thought to herself as the cold plastic surface pressed against the back of her head and neck. “But for what it lacks in comfort, it definitely makes up for in strength,” Jaymie thought as she noticed the table was rated to hold as much weight as a newborn elephant.

“And done,” Mixxie declared triumphantly while taping the front of Jaymie’s new diaper snugly closed.

“I swear, Mixxie, I think that was your fastest change yet,” Jaymie said in amazement as Mixxie offered her a paw off the changing table before tossing her used diaper in a nearby trash bin.

“Who knows, maybe I’ll go for the world record, and attribute my success to you,” Mixxie chuckled while they each made their way back out of the bathroom, and out the main entrance of the mall in the direction of the bus stop across the busy parking lot.

“That’s something I’d love to see,” Jaymie said with a warm smile as she hopped onto the bench beside the bus stop along with Mixxie before laying her head lazily on Mixxie’s warm shoulder.

“Oh, I think it looks like a certain little girl is all tuckered out,” Mixxie whispered while wrapping her arm around Jaymie and pulling her close.

“What do you expect? We’ve been shopping all day,” Jaymie whispered as her eyes slowly began to close while she and Mixxie waited quietly for their bus.

“Then get a little rest, little one, and I’ll wake you when the bus gets here,” Mixxie said just before she began to hum the same merry melody she had been humming all day.

Chapter 9: Time For Cheer

The air was thick with the sweet, inviting aroma of freshly baked gingerbread, curling around the corners of the cozy kitchen like a warm embrace that brought a smile to Jaymie’s mouth. Each breath was rich with the spicy essence of ginger and cinnamon, their sharpness softened by the deep, molasses undertones that lingered, whispering nostalgic memories that until this moment, Jaymie was certain had long been forgotten.

“These smell heavenly,” Jaymie whispered while Mixxie gently placed a tray lined with six gingerbread figures fresh from the oven.

“Don’t get any big ideas yet,” Mixxe said with a corrective tone while she guided Jaymie away from the hot tray of warm pastries and into the living room, where a large box filled with ornaments sat beside a bright Christmas tree that had been lovingly placed between several of Mixxie’s and Jaymie’s favorite pictures. “Now, I’m fairly certain that I had asked a certain pup to decorate the tree while I work on dinner, so that we can have a pretty spot to place our presents,” Mixxie said while crossing her arms disapprovingly, glancing down at Jaymie.

“I know that, but,” Jaymie began to say before Mixxie knelt down beside her and quickly slipped her pacifier between her lips before she had even realized what Mixxie had been doing.

“Hush, there isn’t enough time to spend today dawdling about,” Mixxie said pointedly while taking an ornament into her paw, and holding it out for Jaymie to take. “Now, you finish up here while I get back to work in the kitchen,” Mixxie said with a smile as she slowly stood up and placed her paws on her hips. “Unless you’d rather finish up in the kitchen while I decorate the tree,”

For the briefest of moments, Jaymie thought about taking Jaymie up on her offer to take over in the kitchen, but as she did, memories of her attempt to make their anniversary dinner flooded her mind. “No, I’ll make the tree pretty,” Jaymie sighed from behind her pacifier while looking down at the colorful assortment of ornaments.

“Wonderful,” Mixxie said while gently patting Jaymie on the head before heading back to the kitchen. “The next time I see that tree, I expect it will look a bit more festive,” Mixxie said before disappearing out of sight, leaving Jaymie alone once more.

“Did we really put this much on the tree last year?” Jaymie thought to herself as she began to pull out several ornaments from the small boxes that contained them, and placed them on the tree before reaching back into the box of ornaments. “This is going to take forever at this rate, but,” Jaymie thought to herself as she sniffed the fragrant aromas lingering around her from the kitchen, causing her stomach to rumble. “It’ll be worth it,” Jaymie murmured as she dutifully continued to place one ornament after another on each and every branch of the tree she could find until the only item left in the box was the star. “Normally, I’d have Mixxie do this part, but since she’s busy in the kitchen, it’s up to me,” Jaymie mumbled from around the bulb of her pacifier as she took the golden star from the box and stood up as tall as she could to place it at the top of the tree. “Nearly there,” Jaymie murmured to herself as she stretched her body and stood on the tips of her paws.

“Oh my gosh, hold that pose!” Mixxie shrieked as she darted from the kitchen with her phone firmly planted in her paw. “Your little diapered tush is so cute,” Mixxie said as she quickly took several pictures of Jaymie before she could pull herself away from the tree.

“Glad to see you're enjoying the show,” Jaymie muttered under her breath while Mixxie stepped beside her and whispered in her ear.

“Does Mommy’s girl need a little help putting the star on the tree?”

“You know darn well that I do,” Jaymie huffed in annoyance having just become the center of attention for no reason other than being a little shorter than her partner. “Could you help me with this thing?” Jaymie said while slowly lowering herself down to the ground once more, only to be stopped by Mixxie.

“Wait, wait before you do that,” Mixxie said with a playful smile as she wrapped her arms around Jaymie’s shoulders from behind. “Do you think you could?” Mixxie started to ask just as a quiet laugh escaped her grinning expression. “Do you think you could pretend to fall down while trying to put the star on the tree?” Mixxie asked with a wide-eyed expression that she only used when she was trying to convince Jaymie to do something she might otherwise refuse to do.

“You want me to fall down?” Jaymie hesitantly asked, causing Mixxie to nod quietly.

“Yes, fall like you might if you were to have lost your balance from trying to put the star on top of the tree,” Mixxie said while pointing to a spot on the ground before finding a good spot to take the picture from. “And maybe...maybe you could also cry for Mommy?” Mixxie added innocently while she busied herself with aiming the lens of her phone’s camera at Jaymie.

“And you’re sure you’ll find this cute?” Jaymie asked with a tone of uncertainty as she slowly began to recall all of the time Mixxie had spent cheering and encouraging each and every step she had taken from her daily responsibilities to the point Jaymie wondered if she were starting to take advantage of Mixxie’s willingness to pick up the slack around the house while she lazed around all day sometimes not even getting up to relieve herself.

“You’ll look adorable,” Mixxie declared while adjusting the height of her stance while watching Jaymie closely through her phone's screen before setting her phone’s camera to record video.

“Fine, but only because you’ve been putting up with me being a lazy bum since I’ve been home,” Jaymie said with a sigh as she resumed her futile attempts to put the star at the top of the tree while doing her best to ignore the fact that Mixxie was watching her as if she were the leading lady of a theatrical production.

“Duly noted,” Mixxie said with a widening smile as her paw hit the bright red record button on her phone’s display.

“The things I do for love,” Jaymie thought to herself as she resumed standing on the tips of her paws while extending her arms as far as they would go to see if she could actually manage to put the star on top of the tree, but despite her rekindled determination she found herself standing in the exact same position she had been in only moments ago. “I guess here goes nothing,” Jaymie thought to herself as she started dramatically wobbling back and forth awkwardly, whilst discreetly maintaining balance for several moments before thrusting her backside backward, causing her entire body to tumble to the ground with a loud crinkly thud. “Owwie,” Jaymie shouted while glancing at Mixxie’s camera for a moment with wet tears in her eyes before dropping the star and sobbing as loudly as she could for several moments until finally shouting frantically for Mixxie. “Mommy!”

Seemingly satisfied by Jaymie’s performance, Mixxie quickly darted to Jaymie’s side while holding Jaymie closely to her chest. “Shh, it’s alright,” Mixxie whispered while discreetly picking up Jaymie’s pacifier on the floor. “Mommy’s right here,” Mixxie continued while hugging Jaymie tightly in her arms before finally inserting Jaymie’s pacifier back into her mouth. “That’s Mommy’s good girl,” Mixxie said as Jaymie began to suckle on the pacifier whilst slowly dulling her wails until the only sound Jaymie could hear was the rhythmic heartbeat of Mixxie’s chest. “Does Mommy’s little one need a diaper change?” Mixxie asked with a faint smile, prompting Jaymie to nod her head as she willed herself to wet her diaper just as Mixxie’s paw reached down to check the padding. “Oh my, it feels like you are still going,” Mixxie said, sounding genuinely surprised as the padding around her paw began to swell and expand.

“I’m sorry, Mommy, I must have gotten scared when I went boom on my bottom,” Jaymie said in a weak tone while resisting the urge to smile or laugh.

“No, there’s nothing to be sorry about,” Mixxie said while scooping Jaymie into her arms before standing up. “Now, let’s go get you changed and into some nice warm jammies before dinner,”

“Thank you, Mommy,” Jaymie whispered as she was carried by Mixxie to the changing table in the nursery from the living room.

“You know, I didn’t think that’d you’d actually start wetting yourself just because I asked if you needed a change,” Mixxie said with a laugh while pressing lightly against the surface of Jaymie’s diaper, causing a small amount of moisture to escape from the side.

“And I didn’t expect you to come running like you didn’t already expect that I was going to fall,” Jaymie retorted with a bright smile while pulling her pacifier from her mouth.

“It was only because if you hadn’t told me that you were going to do it I would have actually thought you lost your balance,” Mixxie said with a smile as she began to awkwardly recreate Jaymie’s less than Oscar worthy performance causing Jaymie to laugh loudly while Mixxie began to routinely change yet another wet diaper before helping remove the pale lavender dress and white leggings that Jaymie had been wearing. “Now, let’s get you into something a little special since it’s the night before Christmas,” Mommy said with a warm smile as she pulled from the wardrobe a bright red pair of pajamas that were decorated with covered with an assortment of colorful vibrant Christmas trees, colorfully wrapped presents, and pictures of Santa in his sleigh being pulled by his reindeer. “Do you like it?” Mixxied asked as she looked curiously at Jaymie’s stunned expression.

“I swear every time you open that wardrobe you manage to pull out another outfit I’ve never seen before,” Jaymie said with a small chuckle, causing Mixxie to laugh excitedly as she began to redress Jaymie in her new festive attire.

“And with any luck, Santa will bring you more adorable outfits tomorrow,” Mixxie said while guiding Jaymie’s arms through the long, soft sleeves of her new outfit before zipping it up tight.

“Mixxie, just how much did you do while I was gone?” Jaymie thought to herself as she slipped her pacifier back into her mouth before sighing quietly.

“Now, let’s go have a little dinner, and then if you are a good girl Mommy will read you more of your story before bed,” Mixxie said with a smile as she picked Jaymie up from the changing table, and carried her into the kitchen where the smell of fresh gingerbread intermingled with the aroma of fresh meatloaf, sweet peas, steamed carrots, mashed potatoes, and fresh biscuits. “Let’s set you down here, little lady,” Mixxie said with a grin as she put Jaymie into a chair at the end of the table. “And I’ll be right back with your dinner,”

“Smells amazing as always,” Jaymie said as her mouth began to water uncontrollably as she watched Mixxie prepare two plates filled to the brim with fresh and steamy food and a tall baby bottle filled to the brim with milk.

“Well, it should smell that way considering I made all of this just for my little princess,” Mixxie said with a smile as she took her seat in the chair closest to Jaymie before she began to scoop a large bite of peas onto a spoon. “Now, I want you eating all of your greens tonight, so you won’t be getting anything else from your plate until you’ve eaten all of your peas and carrots first.”

“All of them,” Mixxie whispered just as Mixxie pulled her pacifier from her mouth.

“Every single bite,” Mixxie said with a tone that sounded stern while still managing to carry a noticeable amount of concern. “You haven’t been eating nearly enough of them these past few weeks, so from now on, this is how it will be,” Mixxie said while easily pouring the pile of peas into Jaymie’s waiting mouth. “That is, unless you’d rather not have any of the yummy cookies I baked today.”

“Now you’re not even playing fair,” Jaymie moaned as she opened her mouth for a bite of carrots.

“Oh, I’m sure you see it that way now, but just think how much better each bite of your meatloaf and cookies will taste knowing that you’ve already filled your tummy with super yummy veggies,” Mixxie whispered before taking a couple of bites of her own food.

“I’m only doing this for the cookies,” Jaymie said flatly, earning a small kiss on the forehead from Mixxie before she presented Jaymie with another bite of carrots with a knowing smile.

“Only for the cookies? Are you sure there isn’t any other reason?” Mixxie asked while fluttering her eyes and smiling knowingly.

“I suppose there might be one other reason,” Jaymie said with a smile as she looked into Mixxie’s eyes with a warm smile before opening her mouth for another bite.

“That’s what I thought,” Mixxie muttered as she happily scraped the final few peas and carrots onto Jaymie’s spoon before inserting it into her own mouth. “That little remark brought you one bite closer to your reward,” Mixxie said with a teasing smile as she replaced the spoon in her hand with a fork, cut a warm bite of meatloaf, and watched in amazement as Jaymie cleaned the fork faster than Mixxie had ever seen.

“So, good!” Jaymie exclaimed while Mixxie readied another bite for Jaymie.

“Do you really like it that much?” Mixxie asked curiously as she looked down at the darkened meat dressed in ketchup on her own plate.

“I do because,” Jaymie said before eagerly taking another bite as it was brought to her lips. “I can taste the amount of effort and care you put into making it just for me, and to me, that is the best flavor of all.”

Chapter 10: Christmas Surprises

From within the dimly lit interior of the Nursery, Jaymie slept soundly beneath a festive quilt decorated with a colorful depiction of a snowfall in a tranquil forest, but unbeknownst to her, just outside of the nursery’s door, a set of silent paws crept to the Nursery’s closed doorway, quietly listening for any signs that Jaymie had awoken from her slumber.

“Luv, are you still asleep?” A whispered voice called from the other side of the door, followed by a sigh.

For the next short while, Mixxie quietly prowled from her bed to the living room before quietly retreating back to her bed for a short while before returning to the living room once more. However, after carrying on in this manner for about thirty minutes Mixxie had an idea.

“I know how to wake her up,” Mixxie thought to herself with a sly smile as she made her way into the kitchen and retrieved Jaymie’s teakettle from the cabinet to fill it with water. “I should have thought of this from the beginning,” Mixxie muttered to herself before starting to heat the water in the teakettle on the stove. “Now, while that’s heating up, let’s make a little something to munch on, so she isn’t too grumpy about having to get up earlier than normal.” Mixxie thought to herself as she began preparing two bowls of oatmeal, sliced up a couple of bananas, and a baby bottle of milk. “Well, it won’t be the prettiest meal I’ve made this week, but there is no way grumpy butt will be able to complain about not having had anything to eat,” Mixxie whispered while mixing a pawful of raisins into Jaymie’s bowl of oatmeal just as the teakettle began to whistle loudly as the water quickly reached its boiling point. “Finished just in time,” Mixxie thought to herself as she placed everything she had made thus far onto a large tray and covered each of the bowls of oatmeal with a domed lid to help keep them hot while she began pouring hot water onto the tea leaves she had put in Jaymie’s teapot. “And now we wait,” Mixxie thought to herself triumphantly as she guided the loaded tray from the kitchen to the spot she had already prepared on the coffee table.

Not wanting to waste any time, Mixxie began quickly gobbling her bowl of oatmeal down before finally pouring herself a bit of tea to sip on while she waited for the tea’s distinct aroma to wrap itself around Jaymie’s nose before pulling her out of bed. However, while Mixxie sipped from the teacup in her paws, she soon realized that Jaymie still didn’t show any signs of getting out of bed.

“I hope she isn’t getting sick,” Mixxie thought as she took one final gulp from her cup and prepared to stand up just as the sound of the nursery’s doorknob turning reached Mixxie’s ears. “Just in time,” Mixxie whispered as she quickly got to her paws and went to wrap Jaymie in a big hug before she had gotten a chance to reach the living room. “There’s my beautiful baby girl!” Mixxie exclaimed enthusiastically before spotting a wrapped parcel in Jaymie’s paws.

“Merry Christmas,” Jaymie mumbled while struggling to open her eyes wider to better see Mixxie.

“Oh, is this a Christmas present for me?” Mixxie exclaimed enthusiastically while gently taking the package from Jaymie’s paws before giving her a long hug, followed by several kisses to the forehead and cheeks. “Merry Christmas, Luv,” Mixxie whispered before slowly guiding Jaymie a few steps backward.

“Wait, what are you doing?” Jaymie asked quizzically just as Mixxie began to quickly walk into the living room, leaving Jaymie standing alone and confused in the hallway.

“Alright, I’m ready now!” Mixxie shouted, causing Jaymie to sigh loudly as she slowly realized she likely wouldn’t be getting changed out of her soggy diaper any time soon.

“I never really thought you were this into it,” Jaymie began to say until she took her first step into the living room to find over a dozen brightly colored presents of varying sizes stacked neatly around their hastily decorated Christmas tree.

“Oh, it looks like someone is excited,” Mixxie cooed from behind her phone screen as she carefully positioned her phone’s camera to best capture Jaymie’s stunned expression, finding so many gifts beneath the tree.

“Uh, I don’t know,” Jaymie began to say as she scanned the assortment of boxes in front of her for several minutes until she spotted the only present she had purchased for Mixxie. “Please tell me some of these are for you,” Jaymie said pleadingly as she reclaimed her usual spot on the sofa and picked up her mug of tea before Mixxie insisted she eat something before drinking it.

“Nope, they’re all for you, my precious little angel,” Mixxie said with a bright smile as she momentarily turned her phone’s camera to capture her bright smile before turning it off. “Well, besides the wonderful gift you gave me this morning,” Mixxie said while giving the box in her paws a gentle shake before placing it back on the floor.

“Well, I know you’ll like what I found, but now I wish I had gotten you a few more things,” Jaymie said with a guilty look on her face, prompting Mixxie to rush by her side.

“Don’t be ridiculous,” Mixxie said while wrapping her arms tightly around Jaymie just as she set her mug down on the large tray in front of her. “You know as well as I do that Christmas is about the gifts you give, not the gifts you get.”

“True, but when the gifts you give are greatly outnumbered by the gifts you get,” Jaymie began to say before Mixxie grabbed the pacifier hanging around the front of Jaymie’s outfit and placed it between her lips.

“No buts except your butt sitting here with me eating a delicious bowl of oatmeal,” Mixxie said with a wide smile as she removed the dome from the tray, and gently picked up Jaymie’s bowl of oatmeal along with a spoon. “Then, once you’ve eaten your fill, we can get to the moment Mommy knows her little angel has been waiting for,” Mixxie said while unceremoniously pulling Jaymie’s pacifier from her mouth once again before bringing a bite of oatmeal to Jaymie’s lips.

“I’ll make it up to her,” Jaymie thought to herself as she dutifully ate one bite of oatmeal after another until Mixxie started scraping the bottom of the bowl to collect the last bite onto the spoon. “Besides, it isn’t like I didn’t have any surprises of my own up my sleeve,” Jaymie thought with a smile as she began eating the banana slices Mixxie was giving her, until finally she was presented with a tall bottle of milk.

“I knew you were excited, Luv,” Mixxie said while gently wiping a small stream of milk that had escaped from Jaymie’s mouth as she quickly suckled on the nipple of the bottle. “But try to slow down, otherwise you’re going to get an upset tummy,” Mixxie said while pulling the bottle from Jaymie’s mouth, so that she could give her a moment to catch her breath before inserting the bottle back between her lips.

“This clearly means a lot to her,” Jaymie thought to herself as she looked deep into Mixxie’s eyes. “So there’s no sense in sulking,” Jaymie thought as she suckled the last of the milk from her bottle before smiling excitedly as Mixxie pulled the nipple of the bottle from her mouth with a pop. “Of course I’m excited,” Jaymie declared while standing to gesture at the piles of gifts enthusiastically. “I’m about to open more gifts in one morning than I have ever opened in my entire life,” Jaymie said while grabbing one of the gifts from the top of the pile before sitting back down without once breaking eye contact with Mixxie as she asked her next question as sweetly as she could muster. “Can I open my presents now, Mommy?”

“Of course you can,” Mixxie said with a look of anticipation in her eyes that confirmed what Jaymie had already suspected. “I can’t tell who is more excited for me to open this,” Jaymie said with a laugh as she glanced over at Mixxie to find that she had already started taking pictures of her as she tore the bright red wrapping paper away, revealing a small white box.

“In hindsight, I should have had you open those before breakfast,” Mixxie said as Jaymie pulled the box open to reveal a pair of bright pink bibs that read Mommy’s Big Eater and Mommy’s Mess Maker.

“They’re adorable,” Jaymie declared while quickly taking the Mommy’s Mess Maker bib into her paws. “Mommy, can I try this one on now, please?” Jaymie asked with wide eyes as Mixxie snapped several pictures before putting her phone down momentarily.

“I knew you’d love them,” Mixxie squealed as she buttoned the bib snugly around Jaymie’s neck before picking her phone up once more. “Which one do you want to open next?” Mixxie asked while slowly getting to her paws.

“Let’s try this big one,” Jaymie said with a curious grin as she stepped over a mound of gifts and began pulling out a surprisingly heavy object from the pile, causing the wrapping paper to tear loudly as she did so.

“Oh, I’ve been wanting you to open that one for weeks,” Mixxie admitted out loud as Jaymie pulled away enough wrapping paper to reveal a bright pink high chair that had been custom-made to accommodate someone of Jaymie’s size.

“I had no idea they made these things so big,” Jaymie said while pulling the last of the colorful paper from the high chair to reveal that it had already been completely assembled. “Where on earth did you get this?” Jaymie asked, looking over her shoulder before removing the highchair’s white plastic tray to reveal a single seat that she was certain would be big enough for her diapered bottom.

“Wait, open some of these smaller ones next,” Mixxie shouted just before Jaymie was about to sit in her new chair.

“Alright,” Jaymie said with a curious smile as she took the small stack of what felt like more clothing boxes. “I’m kind of curious what else you’ve got up your sleeve at this point,” Jaymie said with a laugh as she tore into the boxes, revealing two new onesies, a purple pair of footed pajamas, and a pastel pink party dress with puffy white sleeves and trim along the hem. “Looks like the bottomless closet is going to get a few more outfits,” Jaymie declared while showing each of the outfits to Mixxie’s camera, while smiling as enthusiastically, prompting Mixxie to push a much heavier box into her paws.

“Originally, I bought this just in case you were less than thrilled with all of this,” Mixxie said with a smile as Jaymie tore away the paper while gasping loudly. “I love it!” Jaymie shouted with a laugh as she looked down at the three leatherbound copies of The Lord of the Rings book series. “I’ve thought about getting these forever,” Jaymie admitted out loud as she began to leaf through The Fellowship of the Ring.

“What’s next?” Mixxie asked eagerly, causing Jaymie to break her gaze from her precious new book while scratching the back of her head.

“Honestly, I have no idea at this point,” Jaymie admitted as she spotted a group of smaller boxes beside another awkwardly wrapped giant. “But this time I’ll save the big one for last,” Jaymie said as she took a seat on the floor amongst the torn wrappings of her previous gifts.

“Wait, hold that pose,” Mixxie pleaded while squatting down beside Jaymie to take several pictures of Jaymie’s bashful smile as she began to open the gifts beside her.

“Let’s see what we have here,” Jaymie said, opening several tall, thin packages to reveal new bright pink baby bottles, several packs of baby wipes, a large canister of baby powder, and baby oil.

“Had to get more of the essentials with how good you’ve been about using your diapers for Mommy,” Mixxie said with a knowing smile as she just now realized Jaymie’s diaper looked as if it were at its limit. “And a good thing too, because it looks like a certain little girl is going to need a change after we’re done with presents,” Mixxie said with a laugh while Jaymie began opening another gift she had planned to give Jaymie in the event she got upset getting baby supplies for Christmas.

“Are you serious?” Jaymie asked in shock as she held up the noise-canceling headphones she had been wanting for years.

“Do you like them?” Mixxie asked with a knowing smile while Jaymie slowly looked up at her with a stunned expression on her face. “Now, you won’t have to miss nap time just because you’re on a plane,”

“And that’s going to be amazing!” Jaymie shouted while crawling over to Mixxie on her hands and knees to give her a hug. “Thank you!”

“Don’t thank me yet, because you’ve still got one more present to open,” Mixxie said while slowly getting onto her paws alongside Jaymie.

“Honestly, at this point it could be an empty box, and I wouldn’t even mind,” Jaymie addmited to herself as she began to tear away the wrapping paper until she saw the thick rubbery wheels of a stroller that much like the highchair looked like it would be able to comfortably hold her.

“Oh, it’s perfect!” Mixxie shrieked excitedly as she ran beside Jaymie. “This stroller, as you can imagine, is sized to accommodate you perfectly, but more importantly than that, it comes with several features that I just know you’re going to appreciate,” Mixxie said while she attached a large black enclosure over the front of the stroller before turning back to Jaymie. “See, this enclosure will offer you a little privacy for when we go out for a long walk to the park.”

“I can see that,” Jaymie said with a hint of unease in her voice. “Yeah, that’s amazing,” Jaymie said with a smile she forced herself to make, causing Mixxie to hug her tightly.

“Oh, don’t worry,” Mixxie said before giving Jaymie a kiss on her forehead. “We can work up to using this outside,” Mixxie quickly added to help alleviate the tension she could sense building in Jaymie’s mind.

“Yeah, this will be better to use in the spring, but,” Jaymie started to say before something in her mind forced her to stop herself.

“But?” Mixxie asked with a curious smile as she looked deeply into Jaymie’s eyes. “What were you about to say?”

For a moment, Jaymie thought about trying to make something up, but that idea immediately faded away as her eyes met Mixxie’s. “I was going to say we might be able to use this sooner than you think,” Jaymie said with a smile as she reached for the only present remaining and pawed it to Mixxie. “I know how much you’ve been wanting to get away, and I figured since we don’t have anything happening until the new year,” Jaymie started to say while slowly taking Mixxie’s phone away from her, so that she could take a picture or two of her own. “Well, go on,” Jaymie said with a smile as Mixxie gingerly removed the wrapping paper, revealing an admittedly plain brown box.

“I wonder what could be in here?” Mixxie said as she reached into the box and pulled out three smaller boxes and an envelope. “Which one should I open first?” Mixxie asked excitedly, prompting Jaymie to quietly take the envelope from Mixxie’s paws.

“You can open any of them as long as you open this last,” Jaymie whispered while securing the envelope in her paw outside of Mixxie’s reach.

“Then I’ll open them all at the same time,” Mixxie declared with a mischievous laugh while tearing into each of the boxes as quickly as she could, causing her to gasp loudly. “I love them!” Mixxie cheered as she held up a long red Cashmere coat, a black Cashmere scarf, and a matching black Cashmere hat. “They’re perfect for this time of year!” Mixxie said, quickly pulling her attire on with a smile before posing for the camera in Jaymie’s paws.

“Here, those will look better with this,” Jaymie said with a smile as Mixxie held the envelope between her paws for a minute before finally opening the envelope with her paws. “What is it?” Jaymie asked with a sly smile as she began to record a small video clip on Mixxie’s phone.

“Let’s see,” Mixxie said with a curious stare as her eyes quickly scanned the small packet of papers in her paws before finally looking back to Jaymie with tears in her eyes. “It’s a two-week getaway vacation to a bed and breakfast in the New York countryside,” Mixxie whispered while covering her mouth with her paws. “I don’t believe it,”

“Well, you’d better start believing,” Jaymie said with a laugh as she put down Mixxie’s phone and pulled her into a hug. “I know how much you’ve been wanting to get away, so I thought, why not go this weekend?” Jaymie said with a smile as the pair spent the next few minutes holding each other tight until a low moan from Jaymie’s bowels broke the silence.

“Sounds like we’re going to need to get you that change now,” Mixxie said with a warm smile while reluctantly releasing Jaymie from her tight embrace. “Let me know when you are ready for a change,” Mixxie said while starting to collect up the assortment of discarded wrapping paper that littered the floor.

“Yes, Mommy,” Jaymie said while quietly excusing herself to her nursery, and squatting down beside her changing table while placing her paws against the table’s wooden frame to prevent herself from losing her balance. “Oatmeal goes right through me,” Jaymie muttered to herself as a rush of warm fiberous mush went into the seat of her diaper with a single push.

“Smells like someone’s already made a stinky,” Mixxie said with her usual cheery demeanor as she slipped through the open doorway and made her way beside Jaymie. “Are you all done, sweetie?” Mixxie cooed sweetly, prompting Jaymie to nod her head silently while inserting her pacifier into her mouth. “Well, then let’s get this thing off you before it bursts,” Mixxie said while looking at Jaymie’s diaper to find that it had not only been completely saturated with urine, but now it had also been filled to capacity with Jaymie’s warm, mushy stool. “I don’t think we could have timed this change better,” Mixxie said as she began to clean Jaymie’s bottom with several wipes before finally pulling the old diaper away from Jaymie as she replaced it with a new one.

“Oh, that feels so much better,” Jaymie yawned from behind her pacifier as she contentedly watched Mixxie begin to snugly tape her new diaper around her waist after applying a healthy amount of baby oil and baby powder.

“There, all done, baby girl,” Mixxie said with a triumphant smile as she discarded Jaymie’s old diaper into the diaper bin beside her.

“Thank you, Mommy!” Jaymie exclaimed while sitting up, and hugging Mixxie tight as she was carried from the nursery to the sofa in the living room.

“My pleasure as usual,” Mixxie said with a warm smile as she reached for the hefty stack of books Jaymie had left on the coffee table. “Would baby like to read their story while Mommy gets everything else put away?” Mixxie said while fishing the Fellowship of the Ring from the stack of books in her arms, and presented it to Jaymie, who took it happily.

“Yes, Mommy,” Jaymie said with an eager hop as she quickly turned her body until she was comfortably lying against the soft sofa cushions behind her back, and Mixxie distractedly took the rest of the books to the small bookshelf she had set up in the nursery that contained the rest of Jaymie’s favorite books.

“Two whole weeks with just my baby girl and me,” Mixxie finally whispered to herself as she quietly started to research the bed and breakfast Jaime had booked for them to stay at. “Wait, did she really?” Mixxie gasped as she began to read a small excerpt about the bed and breakfast on her phone. “Nestled in a charming small town, this New York bed and breakfast warmly embraces acceptance, offering a tranquil retreat for babies of all sizes and their caretakers, complete with cozy nurseries and nurturing amenities designed for relaxation and play,” Mixxie said with tears welling up in her eyes as she began to imagine all the fun that awaited the two of them in just a few short days.
